About Us:

Our Story

Growing up as teenager in my Indian community, my closet, like many others, were filled with beautiful ethnic wear—lehengas, kurtas, sherwanis, dupattas, and more. These outfits are often worn only a handful of times for special occasions, and are unique representation of our culture. But as I and many other kids in my community grew, so did a common dilemma: what do we do with these outgrown, yet still perfectly good, garments? Our community, brimming in cultural events, faced this issue constantly. It felt wasteful to simply discard them, passing them along only worked for so long, and finding new homes for them was surprisingly challenging.

The idea for this non-profit truly sparked during a visit to India. Witnessing the joy and resilience of children in orphanages, it struck me how much a simple act of giving could mean. I saw a chance to connect two seemingly separate issues: the abundance of gently used ethnic wear here at home and the need for clothing among children in India. What if we could bridge that gap?

This project isn't just about donating clothes; it's about sustainability and community. We believe in giving these beautiful garments a second life, preventing them from ending up in landfills. It’s a sustainable approach to empowering adolescents lives, and you can help.
